Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Mexican States presented his
Credential Letters to the President of the United Mexican States
On 11 February 2021, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Mexican States, presented his Credential Letters to H.E. Mr. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of the United Mexican States. Also present at the ceremony was H.E. Mr. Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón, Secretary of External Relations of the United Mexican States.
After the presentation of the Credentials, both sides had a bilateral meeting in which the Thai Ambassador conveyed best wishes from His Majesty the King of Thailand to the President, and reaffirmed his determination to promote closer relations between the two countries through cooperation in various areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. In this connection, Thailand will host virtually the 4th Thailand-Mexico Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, to follow up and move forward cooperation between Thailand and Mexico in all dimensions. In addition, the Ambassador informed the President that Thailand will be hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in 2022 and extended an invitation to the President to visit Thailand to attend the Meeting.
On this occasion, the President conveyed his warmest personal regards to His Majesty the King of Thailand, and expressed his appreciation for the invitation to visit Thailand, as well as his readiness to strengthen the bilateral relations between our two sides. He also concurred that Thailand and Mexico should further promote cultural exchange cooperation to enhance mutual understanding and closer people-to-people contacts.
